Research Overview

Conducted a mixed-method research phase to understand the needs, behaviors, and gaps in support for new and expectant parents. This included qualitative interviews, competitive analysis, and secondary research, allowing us to identify both emotional and systemic challenges across the parenting journey. The research was conducted over 3 weeks, with additional validation integrated throughout the design process.

Reflection
Reflection

This project made me reflect on how I approach designing for sensitive, real-life experiences. I realized it’s not just about organizing features, but about truly understanding what parents are going through, especially moments of uncertainty, stress, and isolation. I found myself constantly questioning whether each decision actually reduced unintentionally added complexity. I also learned how challenging it is to design a system that spans multiple types of care while still feeling intuitive. It pushed me to be more intentional with prioritization and to think more critically about what “support” really means beyond just functionality.
